Newborns are a precious gift, a cherished moment in time we never want to forget.

It was only when I had my first child, Ethan, that I appreciated this miracle of life.

This is when I fell in love with newborn photography.

When I had Ethan, I would think ahead of all of the milestones I had to look forward to... his first smile, roll, giggle, tooth.  And, I wanted to freeze this special time I was having with him while he was the newest of new.  I am so happy I captured moments of him when he was just 9 days old... They will certainly be remembered for a lifetime...

When to Book

To ensure I am available for your preferred date, it is best to book in your newborn session while you are in your last trimester of pregnancy.  This would be a tentative booking in a period when you are expecting your baby – as I understand that babies don’t always come on time.

Session Timing

I photograph all of my newborn babies around the 6 to 12 day period.  This is when they are the easiest to settle. It can be daunting for a new mum to get out and about while your cherubs are still so new to the world, we understand and aim to make the session as stress free and pleasant as possible.

About the Session

Newborn babies sometimes take some time to settle, may require additional feeding, naps and cuddles and this is all very normal. Shoots can sometimes take up to 3 hours to capture beautiful photos of your baby. All babies respond in different ways therefore I only book in one session a day, to make sure time is not of the essence.

I am a natural light photographer and photograph newborns in the mornings. My studio is temperature controlled for the newborns comfort. For an additional fee I also provide my services at the client home if the surroundings are suitable.
